The graphics on this game are great, as the detail is really high, so you can really see the difference in the car models, just a shame they end up all crushed.

Dinner Dash

Dinner Dash is a popular game for the PC which is one of my favourites; however you can now get your fill of the game on your own Android device. The game is all about managing a restaurant, seating the customers, getting the orders and serving the meals at multiple tables, it’s multitasking at its busiest, definitely gives your fingers a good work out. The way to win the game is to keep all your customers happy, easier than it sounds but if you do manage to keep them happy you will be rewarded with different upgrades and new restaurants.

Bonus points can be earned through the game by performing two tasks at once, say for instance carrying two plates or clearing two tables.  In between the busy chores that you have to perform there are also other tasks such as mopping up spills and getting high chairs for the customers babies.

If you like your games fast with plenty of action then this game is the one for you, it’s hectic.

Deadly Chambers

Deadly Chambers is a 3D enemy slaying action game which will have you switching weapons like a mad man, to keep blasting those ever spawning ghouls, skeletons and more.

The game starts with the player in the role of Dr Chambers who has been kidnapped and placed into a maze, you have to fight your way out by side stepping and firing at your enemies.

KamiKaze Race

Kamikaze Race is a deceptively simple slot racer which features a rush of a trip through rush hour traffic  in a car with no brakes and a stuck accelerator. The simple premise makes it perfect as a quick racing game.

To steer back and forth you use two virtual buttons at the bottom of the touchscreen. There is no brake and  because the accelerator is stuck you have to avoid traffic while the car slowly  gains speed.

Pac-Man

Pac-Man is a brilliant rehash of the classic Pac-Man game. Pac-Man rushes through mazes, gobbling up dots and turning the tables on ghosts by eating power pellets so they he can chase them and hopefully catch them. However in the Android version the game play is timed and a puzzle element is introduced. Cleaning up the dots on one side of the screen causes an icon to appear on the other, which releases a whole new series of dots. If you find a groove you can follow one continuous string of dots from one side to the other thus keeping the ghosts on their heels with power pellets and gaining major bonuses. 

On the Android version Pac-Man offers a lot of new content, such as several new Championship mazes, there are numerous mission mazes that ask you to meet specific goals within time limits and also challenge mazes that are as it says very challenging.

Plants vs Zombies is the Android version of the popular iPhone Game Plants vs Zombies. It's a strategy based game where plants have to eliminate Zombies. Zombies of all types pour in from the right side of the screen and by using collected bits of sun as currency, you must buy and place various plants around the yard to stave off the groaning hordes of Zombies.

Tap 'n' Feed

This game is all about feeding the animals and other strange things as quickly as you can with the right type of food.  If you do this correctly then you will be given balls to collect, collect the right amount to win the level.

The colours and graphics are great, bright and lifelike. The game has 42 levels, 6 power-ups, 2 game modes and online score tables.

This is a game of quick thinking and definitely tests your reflexes; it gets a high 5 out of 5 for originality, lifespan and game play.

Bonsai Blast

Bonsai Blast is a puzzle shooter game.  When I started playing it instantly reminded me of Heavenly Sword. Yes, they are very different games but both of them can be described by just one word, beautiful. It is another group the colored balls game, however it’s the most original game of the genre.

There is so much stuff going on in this game it could be a proper game for PS3. You have an old arrow shaped cannon that shoots marbles of different colors. A heavy rock is pushing down a bunch of different colored marbles down a road. You have to prevent the marbles from falling into a hole with a spinning Yin-Yang sing on the top, by shooting the properly colored marble into at least 2 marbles of the same color. When they disappear you get points and/or power ups (sometimes even power-downs in a form of a black cloud that makes your cannon not function properly).

The cannon can teleport from one platform to another to get a better vantage point. Power-ups come in a form of the elements;  wind (makes the marbles go back where they came from), rain (washes away some of the marbles) and in the form of fire balls which destroy any marble, light balls which destroy a few marbles but in a beautiful sparkly way, and earth balls, which destroy all marbles of the same color.

All levels are available in the free version of the game. The levels are grouped into chapters that have the most Zen names, “Morning”, “Afternoon” and “Evening”. Some levels are similar in terms of the kind of maze that is used, but they are different in terms of design.

It has simple but incredibly beautiful graphics. You’ll notice right away from the menu that this game is not like any other game. The music, the sounds, the beautiful gardens with magical Sakura flower petals blowing in the wind and just the whole concept of the game is amazing, beautiful and harmonic. I think they had a Feng Shui professional on the team, because this game just radiates perfect balance.

Smooth gameplay and animations, along with the beautiful Chinese ink art inspired graphics makes this one of my all time favorite android games.

Caligo Chaser

Caligo Chaser is a hack and slash RPG game by Korean developer recently ported to Android platform. The game features best graphics I have ever seen on any mobile game of this genre. Controls are what you may expect on the touchscreen device, left thumb contols movement with joystick and right thumb hacks, slashes and uses magic skills. You also have to navigate game menu using your left D-pad and right buttons (big one for OK, small one for BACK) which is something you need to get used to since it is not intuitive for touch screen device, but items in the menu are so small there is no way it would be useful otherwise.


You start off in Emporion town, where you will see various NPCs, a bridge and two exits into wilderness, where you can’t go yet. You will need to do some talking first! Your character is Private Knight, and there is a big story to follow on how you got there and what your agenda is. You will notice that NPCs with exclamation (or question) mark (!,?) above their heads are the ones you should talk to, in order to get the quest, some item or training. Completing quests is what makes you advance through the game.


After some talking with banker, who wants his 100,000 Leone (gold coin currency) back, Alex, who seems to be your mentor, and town trainer, you will be able to go out of the city. In the first town, there are two exits, one is to the south and the other all the way on the east side. Don’t make my mistake and go to the latter, mobs there are just too much for you at this point. Proceed to the southern gate.


The map in this game is huge, you will go through several cities, which makes it more RPG than hack and slash game because you will spend quite some time in cities looking for some quests and what not.



When you enter the combat area you will be approached by creatures from left and right, after cleaning one screen you move on to another. As you move forward the mobs seem to get stronger and stronger. When you clear the whole stage you have 30 seconds to pick up what’s on the ground (leone,various items) and some bonus stashes fall from the sky for you to hack on. If you get killed you will be resurrected, if you have the scroll of resurrection that is. After each major fight you will get a ranking which will be stored on paper, for your later reference I guess.


After a few quests, you will get the skill stone which gets you a special skill in the combat. There are plenty of various skills in the game, so you become some sort of wizard if you chose to allocate skill points to spirit and intellect. Each level-up you get to spend 5 points on your masteries such as strength, dexterity, luck, stamina, spirit, or intellect, which is pretty basic for every RPG game.

Fruit Ninja

Fruit Ninja is genuinely beautiful casual game with simple yet addictive game-play. Your game will take the role of Ninja in this game, slicing various juicy fruits as they appear on the screen in 3D. It was recently brought to android platform and is insanely popular.


There are two modes to play, Zen and Classic. In Zen mode you have 90 seconds and in that time you need to slice as much fruit as possible and get as much points for that. Slashing 3 or more fruits at once doubles your points. In classic time this doesn't matter, what matters is precision as you have bombs flying around that you don’t want to slice and also if you miss 3 fruits, you are over!


Execution of the game is quite nice, it’s 3D graphics are beautiful and smooth. Background music is what you may expect, relaxing Asian tunes. The game navigation is given more charm by adding slicing elements into it; for example to chose game mode you need to slice appropriate fruit.

The game also features a  rich achievements scheme, where for certain actions you get rewarded with a badge. This is worth mentioning because social layer of this game is present with OpenFeint and you can compete with your friends to see who scores higher and gets most achievements. With achievements you unlock new blades and backgrounds which you can change in Dojo.

Overall the game looks and feels great, and deserves the attention it is getting on various platforms.
